Why MRC Exists
Media is streamed and reused across millions of platforms, but creators and rights holders often lose visibility. MRC was created to solve that. By embedding unique identifiers (such as MRC codes, ISRCs, and UPCs) into media and tracking playback via our browser extension and optional audio fingerprinting, contributors can verify usage and maintain visibility of their work.
On many platforms, traditional metadata, like ISRCs or contributor credits, is stripped or ignored. MRC fills that gap by detecting playback in real time, matching audio to registered fingerprints, and recovering platform-specific identifiers, such as video IDs, track URLs, and embed origins, even when metadata is missing.
We believe attribution should be built into the internet. But we can’t do it alone. Help us push toward a future where browser vendors and platforms adopt MRC-style tracking as a standard. The more creators join, the louder our voice becomes.
Own Your Metadata
Create a contributor-backed MRC record that stores your metadata, credits, and rights info, in one searchable place. Whether you're a freelancer or a publisher, MRC gives you control over how your media is tracked and how your contributions are recognized.
“Your work deserves a digital fingerprint, not just a footnote.”
Unified Media Registry
Your credits and rights shouldn’t be scattered across spreadsheets, platforms, and emails. MRC provides a centralized place to manage all your verified media registrations, searchable, structured, and contributor-backed.
One place for your creative identity.
Claim Invisible Credits
Credits are often stripped, hidden, or unlisted, especially in post-production, advertising, and freelancing. MRC preserves your role, privately or publicly, giving you proof of participation even when you can't be named on the final product.
“Attribution is not vanity, it's validation.”
